Drafting Machine Drawings

The book entitled Kresby z pantografu / Drafting machine Drawings features a selection of drawings created by Juraj Gábor for his spatial implementations and exhibition projects from 2013 to 2016. The drawings are done by hand. The character of architectural drawings alternates with work emphasizing abstract morphology evoking non-material principles (atmosphere, light, rhythm, gradation, etc.). The overall tone is co-created by the type of paper – individual translucencies reveal new visual relations before our eyes.

Juraj Gábor (1985, Lučenec) completed his studies at the Department of Intermedia, Studio of Spatial Communications and at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He works with drawing, video, installations and site-specific projects. He lives and works in Breznička and Žilina.
